Texas plans tallest residential tower west of the Mississippi

AUSTIN (KXAN) — There will be another major addition to Austin’s skyline. Constructive Ventures plans to build the tallest structure in town — and the tallest residential tower west of the Mississippi. When it is built,The Independent will be 685 feet tall and will be home to 370 condos — which means an array of condo sizes and pricing. Units will range from 675- to 3,485 square feet, with floor plans featuring one- to three bedrooms. Units will range in price from the mid-$300,000s to over $3 million.
